About Coll's Farm
Coll’s Farm has been serving the public in our current form since the year 1965, but our
history extends much earlier. In 1930 Archie Coll, Sr. began raising chickens at a farm on Nutting
Road in Jaffrey. Time rolled forward to the mid 1960s when Archie Sr. and Eva (Sirois) Coll retired
from farming.
Following their retirement, their son Archie, Jr. and wife, Helen (Van Blarcom) Coll, started producing
brown eggs for local markets and began their farm stand operation. By the mid-to-late 1970s, the
egg business at Coll’s Farm had greatly expanded and included organic and natural egg production
from cage-free hens.
It was during this time that Archie and Helen were approached by a natural food industry extending
an offer to distribute eggs throughout New England. After accepting this offer Coll’s Farm
expanded to four then five farms, all of which raised cage-free chickens whose eggs would be widely
distributed.
Finally, during the year 2000, Mark and his wife Lori (Couture) Coll purchased the family business
from Archie and Helen and expanded it to its local presence. Today under the continued leadership
of Mark and Lori, Coll’s Farm has blossomed into a delightful, must-visit destination, specializing
in farm fresh and organic produce, unique farm products, deli with eat in comfort, and complete
meat & fish market.
